I wanted to be Harriet the Spy when I grew up. This girl carries around a notebook in which she writes down all of her thoughts, because she wants to be a writer. She also has a "spy route," which she follows everyday to observe the behaviors of people. Harriet knows what she likes and likes what she knows. She is funny and a little perturbed as the story goes on. Still one of my favorite reads.
