This book was great!

It sucked me right in. I loved this gritty dystopian world. It was very well constructed and thought out. It seemed very realistic.

The whole novel kept me on the edge of my seat - it was gripping.

The relationships between the characters, and the characters themselves seemed totally believable. Some relationships were complex, but extremely well written and comprehensive.

Nailer and Nita's relationship seemed totally organic. Also believable, considering the circumstances - I think Paolo Bacigalupi totally pulled it off.I could have lived with a bit more relationship development, but it was still very well done.

The ending fell a bit flat for me. I felt uncertain about whether there would sequel or not.

I highly recommend this book. Especially to Hunger Games fans.
