Illuminating. Heartbreaking. Inspiring.

If you care at all about human rights, and women's rights (which are of course, human rights), read this book. It exposes so many issues I was completely unaware of. Kristof and WuDunn treat difficult subjects delicately and are appropriately sensitive to the nuances and complexity of the subject matter. But they are also unafraid to be crystal clear in stating what they see to be nearly surefire solutions, in the cases where solutions exist.
