Not Quite A Lady (Carsington Brothers, #4) by Loretta Chase Surly, applying logic and reason, Darius can convince Charlotte to marry him. Except, Charlotte has spent many years deflecting the advances of suitors, keeping her secret, and punishing herself for something that happened many years ago.

Being a man of reason and logic, Darius studies Charlotte and attempts to deduce her reasons for behaving in an illogical way. That is where the humorous and clever banter comes to into play. I love that Darius is intelligent, handsome, yet flawed. I adore that Charlotte is poised, except when she stumbles a la slapstick, directly into the waiting arms of Darius, the one person she’s trying to avoid.

Can Charlotte reconcile her past and spend her days in the arms of a man who loves her? Will Darius, using logic and reason, help her find a way to forgive herself and convince her she’s worthy of a happy future with him?

A fun read featuring larger-than-life characters in unique, if not always believable, situations.
