A Ring of Endless Light (Austin Family, Book 4) by Madeleine L'Engle
One of the most formative books of my pre-teen years. Loved the intuitive communication and the meshing of art and science. Identified with Vicky's adolescent anxieties and aspirations. Made me desperate to learn more, so I too could quote Shakespeare at any opportune moment! Doesn't stand up as well as an adult read, but regardless, it still holds a very special spot in my personal canon.
