obviously, this is one woman's side of the story, but it opened my eyes as to the things that paople face in other parts of the world and under dictator rule. and she was one of the lucky ones.

Jennifer I'll add this one to my reading list. When I was in Australia as a missionary, I got to know three refugee families from Iraq, one family particularly well. They were some of the kindest and most generous people that we met. They showed us photos of some of the areas that they lived in that had been attacked by Saddam with chemical bombs. (They were Kurdish.) The photos were really hard to see. We kept in contact for a few years, but have since lost contact. I wonder now what they think about the US involvement there. I think they may have gone back to Iraq, perhaps as a result of Saddam being ousted.
