Daniel's review of The Kite Runner
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
I avoided this one for a long time because it's popular and apparently my suburb-living, Diet Mountain Dew drinking, American Idol-watching self is just too far above the commercial fray to partake. I'm so glad I finally read this book. here's a book that showed me something different about the Muslim experience, the tribal experience, the "third world" experience. And its story of tragic fall and heroic redemption reaches heights seldom found. Give yourself a gift and join the masses on this one.
