The Years With Laura Diaz
by Carlos Fuentes
by Carlos Fuentes
Interesting, but focus wanders between family saga, political book, history lesson, etc. Too many characters are dropped in with no connection to narrative, and they have their say for a while, and then back to Laura (Jorge Maura's love affairs typical tangent like this, and he isn't even a main character). I think book needed a stronger editorial hand.
