really liked it

This was a really great book. I settled on a 4 star rating because I felt that some sections were only 4 star, but there were sections that were definitely 5 star. hooks really breaks down teaching in a clear and understandable way, weaving into her discussion issues of race, class, and feminist thought. My favorite section is 10, where hooks engages in dialogue with an interdisciplinary colleague about engaged pedagogy--definitely a selection worth coming back to (at the beginning of each semester if necessary).
