Coreen's review of Diary of a Mad Bride
Diary of a Mad Bride by Laura Wolf
The author styles herself as the next Helen Fielding or Sophia Kinsella, but falls miserably short. She lacks wit, grammar skills, and character development. The plot meanders without building to a climax with a satisfying resolutiuon. Basically, the author hopes that the story of planning a wedding will be enough to hold the reader's interest. Perhaps it would be, if the book had enough humor to keep it going. It's not particulary clever or funny, and is a cheap imitation of good chick lit. I would not recommend this book.

Bummer! I really wasn't expecting much from this book and wasn't totally looking forward to reading it. Now even less so :( Oh well!
