Mindy's review of Good and Evil
Good and Evil by Michael Pearl
This is the Bible in comic book form, created to send into countries where the Bible itself is prohibited. Rather than a flimsy 20 or so pages, it is a thick, several-hundred page softcover with much (not all) of the Bible recreated in black and white illustrations and text. Well worth seeing if for no other reason than you've never seen anything like it. :) Also an intriguing and thought-provoking book for older children who are already enthusiastic about comics.

This reminds me of my first Bible--it was called "The Picture Bible" and it was basically a big fat full-color comic book. It's old and falling apart now but I am letting the boys read it, since it's easier to understand than their "real" Bibles, and they like comic books. :)
Yes, this is geared toward probably ages 10 and up ...it's not really simplified in a big way. I gave it to my son Noah, who is a big fan of comic books, and he finds it very intriguing. "Hey, Mom, Noah got drunk and naked." sigh. Thankfully, that is not the only thing he has taken from it. :)I appreciate that it is accurate for him though, because he has learned a lot when he reads it. The toddler Bibles can be rather "fluffy" and the actual Bible rather intimidating for a child his age.
