Oh dear.
The plot sounded so good on the back cover, I like reworking of mythologies. I did not like this one but the first few chapters pulled me in to the story enough that I did read it to finish. By the second half of the book it had however, become an annoying itch rather than a pleasant read.

The characters start out promising but by the last chapter have devolved into one dimensional caricatures indulging in juvenile pinch and slap behaviour, very unconvincing in gods and demigods that are meant to have been around for thousands of years. The dialogue started out sound, if basic but by the last chapter had reduced to clichés and “yeah baby” comments. I have read so many good things about this Author, and this is the first book of hers I have tried. It might be a while before I can bring myself to try again.
