Dena's review of Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach
Loved this book! It wasn't what I expected as all. The author portrayed death not in violent, gore-described words, but rather serenely and with scientific detachment. The book is not dry and does, seriously, make you laugh out loud at times. I doubt I'll donate my body to a medical school when I die, but I do now respect and have a better understanding of those who do.
