Awesome trilogy.
I *may* have been partial to it because the main character's name is Kaitlyn - spelled differently than mine, but still sounds the same haha.
But any bias that would have caused was overshadowed by the enjoyment I got out of simply reading the story.
It did take me a few days to finish it, only because it was over 700 pages and unfortunately I had to go to work in between reading, haha. Otherwise, I would have been done the book in a day - two tops.
There were so many elements to this supernatural adventure it constantly kept me on my toes as I was reading.
There's suspense, romance, secrecy, deception.. really anything you can think of that makes up a good book.
There was deception from people you'd never expect and some of those who you'd think were prone to deceive ended up surprising you in the end.
Kaitlyn herself starts off not feeling as though she belongs anywhere, especially not with her strange eyes and her ability to draw the future. So, when she gets the chance to go to the Zetes Institute and start over, the appeal of finally being somewhere she can truly say she belongs, and her father telling her to, gets her to take the jump and start out on the biggest adventure of her life.
An adventure I was happy to read about. :)
Overall, a book well worth reading.
