"Trance" is fiction book about a teenage girl who is having a rough life. Her mom was killed in a car crash while she was driving. Her and her sister Kyra have also been having these 'trances' since they were young. When these trances happen they black out, see an image, and write numbers on a sheet of paper. They can only figure out what they saw if they're together, but Kyra has disappeared. Ashlyn doesn't know what the trances are about or why they happen to her and Kyra. She also met a guy that works at a music store across from the kiosk that she works at at the local mall. While Ashlyn is trying to figure out her trances, Jake (the new guy) and her co-worker Gina help her along so she can figure out who she really is and where her sister has been hiding.
I did like this book because it was mysterious and suspenseful. There was always action going on, and "Trance" kept you guessing what would happen next. This book showed me what it was like to feel like an outsider because of something you can't control.
If you like a little romance and mystery, this book is for you. I would also recommmend it to people who want to read about something that is out of the ordinary but still happens in the twenty-first century.

53.0% "Ashlyn blames herself for her mother's death. She was driving and her mom was in the passenger's seat; then a car hit them, and her mother was killed. Ashlyn also has trances, but she hasn't gotten any since the accident. Now they're coming back, and she doesn't know what to do to make them go away. There is also a mysterious guy in the picture, and a sister that has disappeared. I am really enjoying this book!"
