Written by a lovely woman with a lovely writing voice, this book is simply the insights of a piano teacher into her students' psyches and what makes them tick. It's a little longer than it needs to be, but the last chapter is worth sticking it out to the end.

Larene On the last chapter, I had to reread the part when she says that she and her husband got divorced. That was so terrible! After that beautiful love story, what a crummy ending. Then he dies!?
thanks for the recomendation!

Rachel Terry Any time, Rene. But didn't you think it was nice that she could still speak so highly of him after they broke up? You just don't see that very often.

Larene that's why I was so shocked-- I was expecting a happily ever after

Larene After reading this, I felt guilty for not practicing the piano. I really should.

Rachel Terry Where would we women be without guilt?

Larene too bad guilt doesn't = action

Rachel Terry Oh, go sit down and play piano for 20 minutes. You'll feel better.
