This book is very interesting and the title may be a misleading one in some sense. I saw this book plenty of times before and with it's title as "Life of Pi" I really thought it was a math book relating with the number pi as in 3.14159, which was why I picked up the book. After reading it, I found out that the book was about a kid nicknamed "Pi" and his real name is "Piscine" which sounds like something odd, there for got shortened to Pi. Pi was on a ship with some other people and some animals who are trying to move a zoo to toronto Canada. However the ship sinks and Pi was the only survivor left, with a tiger as a company. Pi and the Tiger became friends and the Tiger rescued Pi from another person who is about to eat Pi. The two would stay together and protect each other, Pi would fish food and they share amongst each other. This book is really interesting especially the human-animal friendship that exists, very unbelievable in some sense.
