I enjoyed this book, except the end really upset me, but I'm a sucker for those "disney-type" endings, so that could just be my problem.
Anyway, this book has 2 main characters. One is a young boy - for most of the book he's 15 - who is a member of Hitler Youth, then the Nazi army. The other boy is about 17 and a member of the United States Army. You really get to feel for these boys, both of them. I have a rather large collection of holocaust books in my classroom and I thought this one might interest the boys a little more, but I think anyone would enjoy it.
