Drug, sex, and Rock & Roll are all captured in Slash's unique autobiography. Slash takes you on a rollercoaster ride that only gets crazier and crazier the more you read. To his early childhood and his opening gigs with Guns N’ Roses, Slash gives you a clear vivid image of what it’s like to be a rock star. Slash covers everything in his autobiography from partying and trashing hotels to Guns N’ Roses breaking up. Slash is a book for anybody it’s easy to read funny and honest. Just because it seems excessive doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
I really enjoyed reading the book. It’s fresh and new, I’ve never read such a book with raw material. The stories by far were the most interesting part. By the time I had finished reading the book I felt as if I already knew Slash. It is a little inappropriate for children but what nine year old kid would be reading Slash! My one of my favorite parts in the book was when Slash was a teenager, and was kicked out of a club for being under age. Instead of going home Slash dressed up as a girl, because it was ladies night he was let in but to his disappointment he was hit on the whole way. Now that’s Rock & Roll.
