Sorry for the Sparks fans. I know there are many more of you than there are of me.

I read the first three books in the series because, well, I bought them. In my defense, I bought them based on reader reviews at B&N, and I hadn't ever touched a physical book by Ms. Sparks. While the premise is entertaining enough, the writing is a little simple, for lack of a better term. I don't mean that I require convoluted plots or complex sentence structure; quite the opposite. What I mean is the style is generally what I would expect of a YA book, not an adult vampire series.

As I said, I read the first three in an effort to justify the expense. I didn't, and I won't, buy the rest of the series.
