There has been a lot of hype around this book and the Millennium series. I have close Swedish heritage that only added to my desire to read the series. But as any who have read through my books and reviews should know, I am not a "real world" fan. I like youth fiction where swearing is rare and promiscuity is even more rare. So jumping back into adult books with the Swedish world of Stieg Larsson was like moving from a hot tub to an ice cold lake.

The swearing and sexuality of a very uninhibited society was pervasive. I can't say that I like that very much.

However, the premise of the book and the execution of plot, characters, and environment was amazing. If a youth fiction version of this could be created, it would probably be a five-star, favorite book.

For now though, this book is definitely not for people like me, or anyone under 18 in my opinion.
