bookshelves: chicklit, dreamy-men

This was a free-read and is was perfect was I needed at the time....a nice, untaxing chicklit read. Rosalie is a bit of a ball-buster so if you dont like that for your heroine dont read it...she will annoy you! Myself I love seeing this type of heroine for the hero and boy does she do that! Nick is a rich man who thinks he has disguised himself as a mechanic to Rosa (I say thinks because it takes her all of two mins to figure it out...although she never tells him!) He is the ultimate playboy and picks her up after a breakdown in her car. She gets ill..he moves in to take care of her and romance blossoms between the two characters who both neither expect or want to fall in love. Turns out that her job is to try to save the very company that he is trying to ruin but this complication is cleared up probably a lot neater than it would be in real life!

I enjoyed it immensely. Chick-lit and gushy romances are one of my (very) secret vices and this one checked all my buttons. Both characters are facinating to read about, Nick is the typical hot bad-boy turned good and general misunderstandings mean the course of true love never runs smooth. At one point I really thought Rosa didint deserve him but she redeemed herself. A good read.
