In the book Teen Angst … Naaah by Ned Vizzini the main character Ned is faced with many challenges in his life, he has to learn how to go through all of them by him self. With proms, TV shows, girlfriends, drugs, and alcohol he learns a lot of things about him self and about the world that he probably didn’t know before when he was younger. He grows up in this book, he matures into a man. I think that Ned made some stupid choices and some smart ones, but I’m guessing he learned from every one he made. I asked myself once in the book, ‘why would you do that?’ because he was going to break up with his first girlfriend because she was too attached…umm if she’s the first one you EVER had I think you should keep her, because, you might not get another one. Also there were times that made me laugh because he said his name was John when its really Ned to seem cool for people in Spanish Harlem playing dominoes.
I really enjoyed reading this book for many reasons. One is because it was funny and it taught me a lot about high schools witch is good for me. Another reason is because at parts of the book its serious and calm. And the most important part is that it was a true story . Its based on his real life so it was a good perspective.
