bookshelves: fantastic-fiction, crap-that-sucks

I'm giving up on this book. It's what I'e come to label as a "left brain" book so as not to sound sexist and call it a book that men would probably like. The main character is a con artist in a elaborately detailed fantasy world, but despite the humor it was too heavy on minutia in both dialog and world building.
