Summary: A little yak wonders what yaks do in the snow and during a beautiful snowfall he finds out.
Age: 3-6 years
Pros: The author does an excellent job of highlighting the innocence of a small animals first snow.
The illustrations are large and colorful, making the easy to use for group sharing.
The book highlight the way different animals prepare for winter.
Cons: There are better versions of this type of story; by this I mean stories of animals experiencing their first winter. A Kitten Tale by Eric Rohmann is one.
Usage: This book would work for preschool story time or even Kindergarten story time. One-on-one sharing also works.
