I wouldn't call this book a redemption. SEP doesn't need redemption, not from anyone, certainly not from me. But I'll be lying if I don't say her last outing (What I did for love) wasn't a slip (at least from the SEP standard). To me, she's the golden standard of rom-com. She reenforces that position in my heart with this book, Call Me Irresistable.

In this book, SEP introduces us to her most loyal heroine to date, Meg Koranda, a recurring character from her previous books, all of which I haven't read. Fortunately, that doesn't affect my enjoyment of this book one bit. The story itself is reminiscent of Ain't She Sweet? with a little touch of Heaven, Texas. I like both books, more the latter. Call Me Irresistable falls between the two in my scale. Considering they're both pretty high, I can't give the rating anything less than 5 stars.
