I am liking the story, as I love mysteries, and there is some good substance in some of the characters, the development of the setting, and the interweaving of two storylines - but the wording in places is stilted and a bit forced. This is really hampering my getting through the book, even as it is a good mystery and I am involved in that aspect of it. It must be the translation...I will update when I have finished the book.

It took me a long time to finish this book, and one of the reasons was its language. I am not sure if it was the translation but it affected everything, the drawing of the characters, the relationships between them, and the ever-intensifying spiral of tension as the mystery was explored and revealed.
