This book will change the way you look at ALL foods from now on. The author raises a lot of great questions about the industrial/wasteful way that Americans eat. Where food comes from, what it costs to produce it, how it made it's way to our dinner table... But it's not just a bleak prophesy that we will eat ourselves into obese diabetic comas covered in garbage...he gives a lot of insight into local food markets and the accessibility of good food if people are willing to put in the effort to look for it or produce/harvest it themselves. There are tons of books used as sources for this one. Pollan makes them all sounds so fascinating - I could be reading from the sources for this book for years!
