I read this book to know the characters first, before watching the new television show. It's a classic Candace Bushnell, I-am-woman-hear-me-roar. And while I can appreciate a little bit of feminisim, this is a little over the top for me. I did learn a couple interesting things along the way though, and that was when you let someone pay for you at dinner, you automatically gain a "position of power" over the person you're paying for. Interesting, when you think about back when you were dating and let the guy pay for you. Anyway, it was an interesting book and I enjoyed it somewhat. BTW, if I could have given this three and a half, I would have.
