The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
No one ever tells you just how good this book is! I mean, I supposedly read it in 11th grade, but I don't respond well to threats and just didn't read it. Thank God. Only now, in my adult years and after 10 literature courses at Georgetown, could I appreciate F. Scott's choreography of words. Just the way the words are put together moved me. It made me feel, and I wanted to be back in the 20s with them, sipping bootleg liquor and listening to loud, brash jazz til dawn.
