really liked it

They only had the audio version at the library so that is how I 'read' it. No complaints on the quality of the reading. The use of character voices were not so overbearing as to impact the enjoyment of the book. Most times I didn't even notice the voice acting, which I guess is a sign of good voice acting.

Anyway, the book jumps right into the fray and doesn't spend too much time providing background for those who haven't read the first book in the series, but seems to provide enough to fill things in for them.

I'm not really a big fan of "ghost whisperer" themes (although I do like the tv show 'Medium' so maybe I am and just don't know it) but the underlying themes involved in this and the previous Odd Thomas book help me to suspend my disbelief. And the combination of likeable (and hateable) characters, dry humor and suspense will keep me reading the rest in this series in hopes of finding out how Odd Thomas ends up.
