Bought my own hard-back copy and am allowing myself to indulg even though it isn't October yet (my favorite time to read it)

I soaked up Brahm's original edition that is about good vs. evil and not centered around Century Fox's motto that 'sex sells everything'. I even had nightmares. Priceless.

184928 Robert - your experience with a touchstone of vamp lit mildly echoes my reading of another, I Am Legend: college, Thanksgiving break, alone and lots of snow. Minus, of course, torching my roomies furniture.

857762 You burned your roommates furniture?!? That's hilarious. I did get freaked out once while reading in the early hours and woke my husband to go check it out. Now that is some excellent writing.

Never read I Am Legend R, you recommend it?

184928 Jes...I recommend it - but I should make some note here that I haven't seen the Will Smith version as of yet.

857762 No worries R, I never judge a book by its movie :)

857762 I'm so glad I didn't listen to the 'popular critic opinion'. I totally loved it.
