Read from January 16 to February 13, 2011

I would like to say I read this book because of Jeaniene Frost primarily:

Key Line Drifter by Kim Harrison 1 star.
I found this story difficult to get into and I have not read any of this series before. It was rather "busy" and I did not care about the characters at all. I read to about half way through and then I ended up skip reading huge chunks to get to the end of the story.

Jeaniene Frost, Reckoning 4 stars

I am a big fan on NH and NHW and coming to this after reading all the others books was a treat as I enjoyed just having Bones' POV. We got to see more of his character and it was an interesting stand alone short. I have to say if I had read this before NH I would have a lot more respect for Cat walking into the perverbial Lions Den with Majestic and a lot more wariness of the Ghouls and their tenacious grisly side. I did feel very much for the innocent victim and did find it odd that Bones' had not seen the possible ramifications earlier, because I did, and wondered if this was intentional to show that even he was fallible. Liked the twist with the Ramiel too. Bones'still stands out above the rest and I hope this snap shot of his perspective will not be the last.

Vicki Petterson, Dark Matters
I lost interest in this story quite quickly and never finished it so I do not feel it is fair to score it.

Jocelynn Drake
The Dead, The Damned, and the Forgotten 3 1/2 stars

Very much enjoyed this novel with a strong female lead and lots of side plots and characters for a short story, adding to the plot and helping build a background. One the strength of this short I would read more from this author and this verse.

Melissa Marr, Two Lines

As this was not part of the Ash/Summer Court series I did not really get into it and did not read. Again unfair to score.
