Were I to rate this book only on the first 30 pages or so, it would probably be much lower, as it did take some time to pick up. However, once I got going, there was no stopping me - it was a compelling retelling of The Six Swans, against the backdrop of medieval Ireland as well as a beautiful love story with a new twist on the whole 'star-crossed' theme. Will definately be reading the sequels when I get a chance.
