An effortless read, the pages just keep turning.

This is the story of one tough female cop, Jane Rizzoli, who is about to become a mother, her brave husband Gabriel Dean, an FBI agent and their friend Maura Isles the ME and what they all discover when she finds that a beautiful dead woman in the morgue is really alive.

I don't want to give too many details away. I think Publishers Weekly gave up too much about the story in their review and other reviewers here also give too much away.

But here is some of what it says on the book cover...
The beautiful woman thought to be a corpse is rushed to the hospital where she murders a security guard and seizes hostages including Jane Rizzoli. As the tense hours tick by Maura Isles and Gabriel Dean begin to track down the identity of the mysterious killer. Then suddenly federal agents appear on the scene and Maura and Gabriel realize they are dealing with a case that goes much deeper than an ordinary hostage crisis.
