This is a Rincewind/UU Faculty novel. Rincewind has become stranded in a strange continent called EcksEcksEcksEcks, which bears more than a passing resemblance to Australia, and the faculty of UU have become stranded in the distant past whilst looking for him. To be honest, this is a bit muddled, as Pratchett tries to go a little bit too high-concept with his main story. Only the quality of the characters and gags save this from being a 3-star effort.
