Hawk and his girlfriend Tessa are thrown off the walls, and then disappear in a bright light. Logan Tom leads Hawks family off in search of him, and in search of the safety they are bound to reach.
The purpose of this novel was to add yet another great novel to Terry Brooks collection. He is just spreading the depths of his fantasy world to an entirely new setting. The theme of this novel is to follow your dream. Regardless of what your dream is, if you work towards it, you will reach it. Hawk followed his dream, and protected his family so he could lead them there. This is yet another great Terry Brooks novel. He continues to impress his readers novel by novel.
