Blaze
by Stephen King, Richard Bachman
by Stephen King, Richard Bachman
After reading Stephen King's novel "Blaze," I was struck with two things...
1. Blaze is very similar to Of Mice and Men. If you liked that novella, you may find this one to be very similar.
2. The fact that the reader can sympathize with (and maybe even root for) a man who kidnaps a baby for a million dollars is proof that the character King creates (in this case Blaze) has really came alive in the reader's imagination.
Written in 1973 under the pen name "Richard Bachman", this novel was just recently published in 2007.
Overall, the story is quick paced, a tear jerker, and worth a read (as most of King's books are). I give it four stars out of five.
