FIRST LINES: Nikki Heat pondered red lights, why the seemed to last so much longer when there was no traffic.
COMMENTS: An infamous gossip columnist, Cassidy Towne is found stabbed in the back at her home office. She has all the dirt on anyone in the public -- sports figures, musicians, actors, politicians -- and airs publicly in her column. Word has it that she was finishing a bio revealing the true cause of death for a young star who supposedly overdosed. At the time of her death Rook was shadowing Towne for an upcoming article so Heat & Rook work the case together ... after not seeing each other for a period of time. Nikki has not been happy w/ the notoriety she has received from the cover article Rook did on her. Fun and fast-paced.
