Academ's Fury (Codex Alera, #2)

Brief premise: The vord abandoned its home in the huge tree, with the intent of invading places as much as they can.^^^^Doroga's forces/warriors were decimated in killing one of the vord nests (once they leave to spawn elsewhere, they split into three groups) and warned Bernard of the other nests.^^^^Bernard, Amara, and Doroga goes to locate and kill one of the nests, while Isana left for the Citadel to warn that one of the vord nests would be in the city and ask Gaius to send reinforcements to Caledron, as well as fufilling her Steadholder duties to appear at the Wintersend festival - being the first and only woman to become Steadholder would sway a lot of allegiance to whomever she shows loyalty for. And being such a Steadholder meant some would want to see her dead.^^^^Only Gaius has overextended himself trying to save the storm-fury swept coastal towns and collapsed, leaving Tavi to basically sort everything out... along with Kitai of course =P^^^^~~~^^^^Bernard and Amara's romance was... a bit le yawn. Woman, who cares! Don't be so single-minded >_<^^^^I felt for Isana and her troubles/worries, but not a lot... couldn't really connect emotionally to her. So that was a bit boring as well.^^^^The \enemy\" camp, the Aquitaines, was a bit more interesting, but what I really wanted to read more of was Tavi and Kitai - and it just felt, as the book's named after Tavi, that it should have had more of them two, at least Tavi!^^^^Ah and Kalare's son, Brecius?, he's so crazy.^^^^Relevations at the end and things said that kinda makes you go, \"Ooo! Next book please!\"^^^^Dreading to read the next one, as that would mean I'm up-to-date with the series T_T noooo..."
