Want a quick weekend read? I just finished "The Running Man" yesterday. It's by Richard Bachman (also known as Stephen King).

The book was written in 1982, but it's far more relevant today than it was back then. The book is about a reality television show called The Running Man. Contestants on the show are hunted until they are killed. If they last 30 days, then they win a billion dollars. Only the game is rigged, so it's not possible to win.

The book has themes of class inequality (life isn't too good if you are poor in this bleak future). The book is also a warning about our willingness to give corporations greater amounts of power over our lives.

I love the unique way this book is written. It starts at chapter 100 and counts down to zero like a bomb. The chapters are short (one or two pages each). If you decide to read it, I think you might find it hard to put down.

I give it 7 out of 10 (10 being great)
