Skeleton Crew
by Stephen King
by Stephen King
Published in 1985, Skeleton Crew is Stephen King's second collection of short stories. With 19 short stories, a novella, and two poems, it's a pretty diverse selection too.
My favorite story in the collection (and also the longest) was "The Mist." It's an apocalyptic tale of survival that takes place in the most common of places, a supermarket. Other stories that stood out to me were "Mrs. Todd's Shortcut" and "The Ballad of the Flexible Bullet."
These short stories are spooky, gross, disturbing, and morbidly fascinating. I would recommend it to anyone. I give the collection 8 out of 10 (10 being Great).
