Do you miss Buffy and her easy breezy-crap i staked a vampire and now look at my shoes, its hard to get the gross stains off- kind of humor? This is just something for our evergreen teen fun appreciation taste.
Romance was there but did not sparkle blindingly, mostly because of my personal preference that two people must prolong their falling madly in love phase by first getting to know each other. The eyes meeting and mysterious deja vu feeling floating between them, instant attraction explained with- they felt like they already knew each other, does not cut it for me.
Still its one of the best light reading vampire YA series you can get your hands on.
Oh, and i loved the parts written about Isabeau, when she was still alive in France, when the revolution was going on and how she became what she became. It gave me a craving for historic fiction again.
