I have to say I'm very conflicted. It's an engaging story, and I can truly see that Jericho is going to be something special once he defrosts a bit ;) ...but just like with the Highlander books (of which I still have two to read) there are things in KMM's writing that rub me the wrong way. It doesn't help that I'm not a fan of the "it wasn't until later that I learned..." and "what I didn't know then was..." kind of writing; I like it when you are allowed to connect the dots yourself. But the material has potential and I'm sure going to keep reading!

“Barrons laughed again. "And there, my dear Fio, you make one of Womankind's greatest mistakes: Falling in love with a man's potential. We so rarely share the same view of it, and even more rarely care to achieve it. Stop pining for the man you think I could be -- and take a good, long, hard look at the one I am.”
