This book was the basis for the movie 'Barfly'. Most if not all of his books are heavily autobiographical and center on his character Henry Chinaski. All of Bukowski's tales involve drinking, women, drinking and drinking. Have I mentioned he sometimes writes about drinking? While you are reading him and for a good while after you're going to have a huge urge to go out and get polluted. <br/><br/><a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/850285?utm_medium=api&utm_source=blog_review">View all my reviews.</a>
