A really good concept, but I found Dickens style in this story a bit long winded. Originally this book was published in snippets in newspapers, so I can see why it takes the lengthy for that it does, but still I would love to have been given a chance to edit it. The characters are varied as all Dickens, with this novel giving me a lot more people to hate than normal. Little Dorritt herself could get a bigger spine and stop worshipping her awful family who show no humility for their roots. Dickens once again is brilliant in his appraisal of class differences and struggles. I especially enjoyed the wit that he put into certain characters, such as Flora, with fast paced narrative, even if at times difficult to follow.
