I just finished this silly book, and can’t remember much that stands out. Even more of a toss-off read than the previous books in the series.

Scary and offensive adults are a recurring theme. We probably don’t realize how old and strange and downright gross some of us must seem to middle schoolers.

Gregg’s relationship with Rowley remains as strange as ever. I’m not sure that Kinney has anything new to share concerning the two of them, but it’s worth a reminder that: 1) Gregg is still cruel and 2) Rowley still has the social awareness of an elementary student.

I like Isabella the maid, Uncle Gary the serial groom, and Benjy – the baby with the 50-year-old mechanic’s face and mouth.
