I loved the first few books in the Kitty series, but the recent installments just don't stack up. I don't particularly like Ben, and most of Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand seems to be about couple discussing things. Kitty is talking about dresses and planners and wedding stuff for awhile, then she is watching shows and talking to boring vampires. There was too much fluff in this book and not enough substance. It feels like a short story rather than a fully developed novel. When something bad does happen Kitty just runs around and asks everyone she sees for help. Eventually someone helps her, and the book is done. There is nothing fun or exciting going on, her radio show is getting boring, and the character are getting old. It's really starting to turn stale. I enjoyed this novel well enough, but there isn't much making me want to read the rest of the series.
