Book #3 of 2011

Robb continues the more mellow Eve and Roarke relationship in this book... now nearly a year after they were married, perhaps they're learning how to deal with each other? And I should clarify that by "mellow" I mean... in a lot of books they fight about working together. They work well together, but its just that they both want to protect the other person and that person resents it and in general they push a little too far. The last couple of books they've done the work together without pushing it too far.

This book dealt with sexual homicides, which are, of course, the hardest for Eve to deal with. It was kind of touching to watch her turn to Roarke to help her get through it rather than shut it all away as she often does.

Eve is always running at 1000% and in this book (although later in the book), she finally gets sick. This isn't a major plot point, I don't think, but I enjoyed watching Roarke (and Summerset!) take care of her, even if she does have a little bit of a breakdown. Again, its kind of touching.
