You know how there are certain authors that you just keep going back for more? Well, Diane Mott Davidson is one of those authors for me. Her books are like really yummy cookies. You just can’t help yourself, you have to keep going back for more.

Tough Cookie is no exception to that. Everyone’s favorite caterer, Goldy Schulz, is once again meddling in the affairs of the police.

After finding the dead body of a sort of ex-boyfriend that she was skiing with, Goldy finds herself trying to find out what happened to him. She doesn’t want the police to come looking too closely at her for fear of negative publicity.

Her main fear is that it would get out that her catering business was temporarily shut down by the county health board. This was just a minor set back for her, but if word got out, she could lose her business entirely.

This cozy mystery has tons of wild romps through the snow and tons of mishaps that liven things up quite a bit.

One downfall of these books is that since Goldy is a caterer, you get to hear about all these mouth watering dishes. I always end up hungry while reading these books. Not so great if you are on a diet. So make sure to keep a bunch of healthy munchies on hand.

A great upside though is that Diane shares Goldy’s recipes with you throughout the book. This one had a very yummy sounding pork tenderloin recipe that I would love to try out.
